Resident Evil 2 For Nintendo 64
Resident Evil 2 for 64 is a pretty cool game. It has the same in game graphics as the Playstation version and tries to emulate the sound just as good but sorta fails at that. The Playstation version has better fmv and sound all around but thats because its on a CD and not on a cartridge. One question I have though is how exactlly did they manage to fit both CDS of the game + extra stuff all onto one small cartridge? That is some great compression thats for sure.
The FMV for this game is pretty good but not as good as the Playstation version. You can really see that they did try hard to match them up though. I would rather play the playstation version , but this one will keep me entertained just as much.
The difficulty level for this version of the game is easier than the playstation version by far. We need to crank up the level to hard instead of playing it on easy I think, then we will have a genuine Playstation experinace.
So, I would reccomend the N64 version of Resident Evil 2. Just how in the heck were they able to stick it all onto a cart based game now?!
